The mvPTa is an all-volunteer community-based organization whose purpose is to promote the use of highly trained domesticated pets for helping people improve their health, independence and quality of life. The members of the mvPTa provide Animal Assisted Activity services to individuals in many health care facilities throughout the Greater Miami Valley.
The National Association of Dog Obedience Instructors, Inc. was founded in 1965 to elevate the standards of the dog instructing profession, mutually to aid both dog and human in the solution of the many problems of the profession, and to designate certain members as having attained certain skills and knowledge. This site lists events (seminars), resources, and assists in finding instructors.
The Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT) is a professional organization of individual trainers who are committed to becoming better trainers through education. It was founded in 1993 by lan Dunbar DVM, Ph.D. as a forum for trainers to associate with one another and discuss topics of mutual interest. The site has a list of recommended books and videos, events (seminars) and a trainer search; it also has info on Rally-O.
It sponsors and organizes educational dog events for nationally and internationally known dog trainers and behaviorists. Its intent for organizing these events is to educate dog trainers, behaviorists, breeders, veterinarians and dog enthusiasts about innovative, creative and humane methods in practice today. Its site lists its upcoming events (seminars) and has a link to review a video library for the purchase of videos made of the seminars.

Dr. P's Dog Training Page - Dr. Mark Plonsky -The idea is to use technology to provide a resource (or virtual library) that will be useful to pet owners, hobby trainers, professional trainers, scientists, veterinarians, police K9 handlers and other students of canine behavior. In order to provide easy access to such a large amount of information, four interfaces are available. The Main Page serves as a brief table of contents. The Library is a detailed listing and description of all of the sections of the site. The Site Index lists each of the pages at the site. Lastly, there is a Search Engine for the site.
