WELCOME to the Dayton Dog Training Club, Inc.

We are very proud of our Ohio nonprofit corporation. Founded in the 1950’s, we strive to serve the public by offering quality dog training at reasonable prices. We welcome all dogs – large or small, purebred or all American, purchased or rescued, dogs needing basic training or dogs ready for competition.

All of our instructors are volunteers and are very qualified to teach their respective classes. Most have earned titles and/or certifications on their personal dogs and some are even AKC judges.

We recently expanded our facility to almost double the square footage we had in the past. There is plenty of parking and rest room space for both humans and canines. Our training areas are fully matted with heat in the winter and air conditioning in the summer. We are easy to get to off I -75 or RT 35.

We hope you will give us the opportunity to “train you to train your dog.”

Nosework Classes

Have you ever wondered what your dog might have in common with professional detection dogs?  They actually have quite a bit in common.  All dogs have an amazing sense of smell and the ability to locate odors that humans can't even detect.  For more questions or more information about the exciting new sport of Nosework, contact Dogs On Target, LLC and Laura Martin at laura@dogsontarget.com or (937) 681-6538.

Also, go to the Classes page.

Please check out these other exciting classes that we offer:

Games Galore is a class is to improve the dog/handler relationship and the dog’s obedience skills and manners through play and games.

Basic Obedience for Performance is geared towards the person that is considering taking Agility or other performance classes but whose dog is young and not yet ready for jumping and/or whose dog has little experience staying with them off leash.

Foundation Nosework Skills is a fun class that teaches your dog to learn a basic, default search pattern so that it can eagerly and independently hunt or search for something he or she wants.
