To familiarize handler with exercises and train dog to successfully complete Novice Rally course and obtain Title [RN]; focus is on positive training techniques that promote fun and enthusiasm for dog/handler team. |

| Prerequisites: | |
|
Successful
completion of Advanced Beginners, Manners, or above (Sub-novice, Novice);
skills needed: attention (stationary and moving), walking on loose leash at
handler?s left, changes of pace in walking, sits, downs, stays, right/left
turns, about turns, recall, fronts, and finishes; dogs must be able to work
in a group of other dogs and people. |

Class meets one hour per week for nine weeks. Handler should come with dog the first night; dog/handler team should use at least a 4 foot leash, appropriate collar*, and soft dog treats for positive reinforcement. * Well-fitting flat/ buckle, choke, limited slip or pinch collar; pinch (prong) and head collars are not permitted in competition but may be used in training. |
